When I sense you near
My spirit lifts
Its not entirely a physical thing
But I do feel it
Deep inside my heart
Expansion comes
Like a white dove gleefully
Opening its wings
In preparation for flight
You become
My heart’s delight
My soul’s true calling
And even when I have no desire at all
To possess you
That is when I feel this rain shower of love
Moving through me
Slowly washing clean
All of the tight and hurting spaces
Inside me.
