I am containing the link to Lee Harris’s latest energy update for September in this post.. I listened to most of it before going to sleep last night and the final third out in the car earlier today and I was struck by what he said about anger rising up and its association to our spiritual fire and how we are, as a collective in fear of fire but that fire when positively channeled and harnessed can be a force of change, transformation and also good.. (this section about anger and fire can be heard around the 28 minute mark of this update.)
He mentions the fires burning around him in California right now and I thought then back to our time of horrendous burning here in Australia which came at the end of 2019 and of how many days it was hard to see and breathe, I thought of all the wildlife lost and of the homes destroyed but also of the value we find through such profound times of destruction and loss that push us to band together as well as making us humans aware of our potential impact for destruction on this planet that is so beautiful and so embodied by spirit. I notice on Lee’s site a number of people commenting mention the concept of spiritual bypassing this is a term I first heard used by therapist and Buddhist writer John Welwood in around 2002, it means that instead of getting down and dirty with our painful psychological work, seeking a spiritual cure or referring to religious or biblical platitudes.. We know the kind of thing, when those so called ‘spiritual’ persons try to deny the necessity of primal darker feelings on the pathway of us transforming from centuries of trauma and evolution, both personal and collective.
I also thought of something I referred to in a poem a few days ago about seeds being germinated by fire and that when we lose touch with that light and spark inside of us how we become devitalized. I thought too, of how often angry people are demonized and their true message or need or point of view may not be heard, they may be shamed, scapegoated or sidelined by powers that want them (and us) to drink what my friend Corey calls ‘collective kool aid’ I also thought of my studies in esoteric astrology which speak of different cosmic fires that can awaken within our minds,hearts, bodies and souls, the term ‘fire by friction’ may relate to two spirits meeting and having a conflict that is generative or regenerative, we can and do transform each other as we go through life if we are able to withstand both the storm and the fire, two things that Lee mentions he has made podcasts about that you can find on his site.
I hope you get something out of this. Lee’s guidance comes through inner attunement and meditation with his own spiritual guides as well as his increasing ability to ‘read’current energies.. We all have an inner guidance system but some of us are more attuned to those vibrational forces or beings that surround us invisibly but can be felt on an energetic level. I have not yet managed to post the piece I have nearly finished on anger as a spiritual energy that has often been disallowed, I hope to get around to doing that in the next few days.
