Your face : in solitude

Your face is hidden from me

But your presence is ever present

And then there is the echo of my own silence

So often I long to fill with noise

Living is so often

This confusing thing

Inside my imagination I live a thousand lives

While here I just build my nest

Hoping one day you will come

What am I dreaming of?

Where is the river of life carrying me?

I do not know

But still I must

Surrender to the ride

And wait upon the surges of the tide

While finding ways to mark my peaceful time

With moments of beauty, joy, and surprise

In solitude
