The true tragedy
Of the unrequited life
Is that we never find a safe place
With others and inside our heart
Where we can cry our eyes out
And unpack the sadness and hurt we feel
Over a painful past
The bigger tragedy is a life lived
In which we can only keep running or fighting
To not feel what we feel
To not know what we know
To not accept what we need to accept
So that we can shed and grow
And liberate from deep inside
The true kernel of our Self
That contains our true essence
And its unlived life
