There will come a day

There will come a day

When you heart no longer feels

As though the brace around it

That contracted

Will squeeze all the life and breath out of you

There will come a day when

The struggle to hold in all those tears

Has released with the shedding

And the flood has unleashed

All the love and longing of your soul

Now become a free river

To carry you forward

There will come a day

When you finally realise

That nothing can last forever

And that any gift you are given

Is only ever on given on loan

There will come a day

When you surrender to life

And a deeper acceptance of impermanence will teach you

To find such joy

In the naked pregnant simplicity

Of this present moment

There will come a time

When soul shrouds and mists clear

Revealing

Illusions or misconceptions obscured before

There will come a day

When you find your heart leaping

As it witnesses the early dawn of the sun

Brimming with love and joy and hope

At the singing of a bird

As it it cries out its morning chorus

There will come a day when the pain of loss

Will have deepened and transformed you

And released a kernal of gratitude

For being able to bear it all

And stay alive

There will come a day

When you will realise that

Even though your heart has suffered

You will want to open it again

There will come a day when

Finally

That awful pain

You fully surrendered to

Finally lets you go

"The religious naturalist is provisioned with tales of natural emergence that are, to my mind, far more magical than traditional miracles. Emergence is inherent in everything that is alive, allowing our yearning for supernatural miracles to be subsumed by our joy in the countless miracles that surround us." Ursula Goodenough How to describe oneself? People are a mystery and there is so much more to us than just our particular experiences or occupations. I could write down a list of attributes and they still might not paint a complete picture pf Deborah Louise and in any case it would not be the full truth of me. I would say that my purpose here on Wordpress is to express some of my random experiences, thoughts and feelings, to share about my particular journey and explore some subjects dear to my heart, such as emotional recovery, healing and astrology while posting up some of the prose/poems which are an outgrowth of my labours with life, love and relationships. If anything I write touches you I would be so pleased to hear for the purpose of reaching out and expressung ourselves is hopefully to connect with each other and find where our souls meet.
