A while back I had a sad falling out with someone who nominated me for a blog award. I guess I try to be as internally referenced as possible and sometimes being nominated and having to go through a defined lot of steps in order to participate seems all a bit much and I am not sure how to link to the other blogs in my post. But that said….today I was nominated by Discovering Happiness for the Mystery Blogger Award so this time I am going to make an attempt to participate so here goes. I probably will do it all wrong but never the less then others can point me in the right direction if needed. And thank you for the nomination which is pushing me out of a comfort zone!

Answers to Discovering Happiness’s Questions
Where are you from? I was born in Canberra but I feel I come from the stars as well as the soul homes of my ancestors, Cornwall, UK and Limburg in Holland!
Why did you start your blog? I was in the middle of a very painful sinus operation on a completely solitary Christmas. I read a blog on recovering from narcissism and shared a poem. The creator of the blog An Upturned Soul, Ursula offered to publish it an suggested I start to write a blog. I had been writing alone in my computer and in notebooks for years and was longing to express myself outwards instead of inwards, so I started this blog in December 2013.
What are some things you focus on for self care? I make sure that I have time in nature every day. I make sure that I get adequate sleep. I am very careful about nutrition and make sure there are lots of fruit and vegetables and little processed food in my diet. I try to express my feelings when I can and I also undertake therapy and go to 12 step meetings which encourage me to keep the focus on my recovery.
Have you holidayed anywhere? If so, where? I have spent a lot of time overseas. In childhood we always holidayed on the beautiful South Coast of New South Wales in Australia. I have also had holidays in Greece, Turkey, France, Holland and many other European countries.
Where is your dream holiday? My dream holiday would probably be on a small island surrounded by sea, with massages on hand and lots of beautiful food Oh and a place to dance and sing my heart out, hopefully with others.

Congrats on the award! I wish I could say I’ve travelled as much as you, I’d certainly like to see more of the world. I think that spending time in nature every day as part of self-care is a great idea and so important!
