The shadow
Is a darkness
That we cannot heal
But can be bought to light
And only those of us
Who have the courage to dig deeper
For this whole understanding
Will come to know the peace that arises
From the pain of holding the tension of the opposites
The more we strive to do good
The more we summon up the shadow
For as humans we are born to be whole
Not fragmented and split into parts
Although this is what society tell us
Krishnamurti said “It is no measure of healing
To be adapted to an insanely sick society”
So try to eliminate darkness and you will fail
Only transcendence will bring the cure you seek
And to transcend may involve a journey so far down
That your soul feels it is being crushed by the heaviest weight
But mysteriously
With the capacity to bear it comes release
And a rising above
Remember always
That Lucifer was once an Angel
Who fell
And God encompasses all opposites
The heart of truth lies hidden in paradox
Mistrust those who say they are of God
And polarise Between Good and Bad
A truly awakened heart is on fire with an energy
That encompasses both
And knows them to be two sides of the same coin
A heart full of dark light wisdom
That has found the courage to embrace both
In the furnace of a fire
Reason alone
Could never understand
With a divided mind
Split from heart
And hungering body
Grown emaciated from
Lack of wholeness
Lack of love
Emerging From The Dark Night
