Beautiful afternoon

You shimmer your golden sunlight radiance

All around me

Colours of green, gold and red

Filling up my consciousness with peace

Soft breeze outside my window

Makes leaves dance

Tinged with early signs of death

As autumn tries to make its presence felt

Arguing with a summer which doesn’t seem to want to end

Here I sit drinking in the bounty

Of life’s creative fire

Stunned

By the beauty and abundance of gifts that surround me

Here within the sacred silence of my heart

I feel the awesome blessing that living is

Raining down its fruits gently

So glad that I have time to notice

And feel gratitude for being alive

So glad that my way of living

Does not rob time

But grants me blessings

Of great abundance

Beauty

And

Love

All ripe for appreciation
