Inside of each of us are pieces that feel broken off and disconnected. Someone in our past most likely hurt us which lead us to shut down our feelings. Those feelings stay with us until we are willing to really look at them, change our perspective and to live ourselves. Thekey to our own release is to give ourselves the love and the compassion we have been missing. Looking for this from others only furthers our suffering.

Today while writing out how I felt about an incident from my past I wrote this which offered me quite a relief from the emotional pain:

I am willing to love me in spite of how you treated me.

Maybe there is another phrase you can apply that gives you your power back. For me on this day, I’m feeling put back together again and less like Humpty Dumpty.
