Leads us through the darkened and tangled brambled paths
Of disappointment
Where we were led by desire, hope and longing
Naively and innocently believing all would be well

Against what fate decided it would steal from us
To teach us essential lessons
Of deep surrender
That can only come to
Us long years after we have wrestled
With the tangled demons and ghosts of our past
And hauntings
We longed to forget
But so badly needed to remember
In order to heal our torn fragments
The path to acceptance
Finally leads us to an open meadow
By a running stream
Where we can lie down
And find rest
After all the entire struggle is done
